__________________ If you can do these three things, you can teach a study: 1. Read a Scripture (that you have underlined in your Bible).
2. Ask a question (that you have written in the margin).
3. Turn to the next page (whose number you have written in the margin).
Northwest Church of Christ believes we should: *Speak where the Bible speaks.
*Be silent where the Bible is silent.
Bible Study Method: *Use just the Bible and a pad of paper.
*No tracts or brochures, etc. Only the student, teacher and a silent partner (to take
notes for the student to keep) are involved in the study.
The verses flow in orderly fashion and discuss: *Authority of the Scriptures
*Difference between Old and New Testaments
*Necessity of Christ’s blood
*Gospel Plan of Salvation
*Organization of the church
*How to worship
*What the Bible teaches about Christian living
Teaching ability is of little importance. *Scriptures teach and convict honest hearts. *Simple, Short, Systematic and Scriptural *One congregation wrote, "This method is simple and exciting because we are able to see results by almost everyone who tries to teach.”
At your workshop we will: *Teach your Sunday morning class: “Should We Teach?” *Preach your Sunday morning sermon: “The Challenge of Evangelism.” *During the 2 ½ to 3 hour afternoon workshop we will:
>Show you how to mark your Bibles, teach the study and ask for obedience.
>Conduct a demonstration study.
>Show you how to ask people to study.
Costs to your congregation: *We neither expect nor will accept a stipend or honorarium. *We hope you can reimburse our cost of $6 for each King James Bible. *We hope you can reimburse our cost for two airline tickets if you are not within driving range.
